Philip Ciolina was born in England into an Anglo/Swiss Italian family, from an early age,
travelling between England and Switzerland through France.
He graduated in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London, and was awarded
a Residency at the International Cité des Arts in Paris.
From then until now, his pictures and object-poems remain on an intimate scale,
while his subject matter is often influenced by isolated lines of poetry.
His work has been exhibited widely in the UK (including the Hayward Gallery,
Barbican Arts Centre, Art First and The Fine Art Society, London) as well as abroad
and in private collections in the UK, Europe and the US.
